If you still can't find it, reinstalling the game would probably work, since it gives you the key when you open the game for the first time.
If I recall correctly, the game auto inserts the key for you but it puts a couple more letters(or numbers I can't recall) for some reason than what the code actually is, so simply deleting those will get it to work.(I don't remember clearly but I believe it might have been an extra number/letter at the end of each group of 4 letters.) Even then, I believe you can find your CD key under DLC or under your game properties. When I got the game over the year ago this is how it worked: After you installed the game, a steam window should pop up providing a CD key and it gives you the option to copy it, you must then put it in later when it asks for it.
